We did it !

This beautiful Cameroonian project aimed to help the parents of an exiled family to find an income-generating activity.

Fleeing their particularly dangerous region of western Cameroon, the couple were desperate to find a way to reintegrate and support their five children. The father, a trained seamstress, needed to buy a sewing machine and his wife wanted to open a small restaurant to sell her soups in the neighbourhood.

Thanks to you, a container could be bought and fitted out to make a sewing workshop on one side and a small restaurant on the other.

Specialised workers opened two doors and two windows in the front of the building and then put up a partition to separate the two businesses.

The restaurant soon attracted regular customers and now makes enough profit to support the family.

As for the sewing workshop, it is beginning to make a name for itself, and the first profits allow the purchase of fabric for subsequent customers. The orders are multiplying and should enable the family to increase its income very soon.

This project is having a real impact on the lives of this couple and their five children. They all have enough to eat and a decent roof over their heads. The parents no longer need to ask for help from their children who have left the markets to go back to school.

Thank you very much for your support!

With them, thanks to you....
