The objective of the project
The Better Outfitting of Cabins project is intended for the homeless people with whom our community has been working for a number of years. We provide them with help in the social services center where they can receive food, clothing and medical care. As we can, we meet their personal needs, in particular to obtain identity papers. Despite all this, they live on the street exposed to many physical and psychological risks and dangers.
This project involves assisting homeless persons to improve their living conditions by purchasing two portable toilets and thus to better outfit their modest housing.
This could become their home and a new beginning for a better future. We want to help these people find meaning in their lives by reintegrating them into society.
The context
Last year we had the idea to make use of some land that was donated to us by the Church for our works and to transform it into a habitable place for homeless persons. The land is a meadow.
With the help of our benefactors, we have already installed a housing module where two people have found a home.
This year we obtained two other housing modules that we were able to purchase with city funding. This made it possible to accommodate additional people. We own these housing modules and the needy people are our tenants. They are thus obliged to observe certain rules.
For the time being, they have neither electricity nor water. They heat themselves only with wood. For the last few months, they have been raising two sheep that were given to us. It is a good way give them a sense of responsibility. During the year they must obtain wood for the winter, hay for the sheep, and keep the area clean and orderly.
However, our big concern continues to be the lack of toilets. Since there are no sewer lines in the meadow, we had the idea of providing them with portable toilets so that they could live in a more dignified way.
For lack of financial resources, we come to you to ask for your help through the Rosalie Projects!
Our great desire is to help these people regain their dignity, to teach them, to show them that they are able to live better and to give themselves the means to take responsibility for themselves. It takes a lot of courage and patience, but also trust in them.
This project is due to the call of Pope Francis who asked us to go out to the peripheries to discover the multiple forms of poverty and to respond to them.
We intend to carry out this project as soon as the financial resources are collected.
Thank you in advance to all those who will help us!

My name is Veronika Margeťáková and I belong to the Community of Blessed Rosalie Render in Stara Boleslav where we are 8 sisters. Our main mission is service in the House of the seniors but our services are very varied and we try to answer the calls around us which are numerous: the pastorale of the children and the young people, the poor families and the S.D.F. We help each other and we participate in all these services. Through this we can share the joys and sorrows of our poor.
As for me, I am charged to take care more of the S.D.F. I am happy to be able to help someone find a solution to improve something in his life full of suffering.
