Thanks to this project, Marie-Angèle was able to invest in and set up a chicken breeding unit.
A widow with a large family, Mrs Marie Angèle felt the need to start a small income-generating activity to support her 4 children and 6 grandchildren, and to supplement her meagre income for her future retirement.
The "Chicken on a Wall" project enabled her to finance the construction of an enclosure and buy chicks to raise and sell on the market.
After receiving the project funds and drawing on her small savings, Angèle was finally able to invest in her breeding project.
"She first asked a craftsman to go and buy the material for the enclosure and carry out the construction work. Despite the rising cost of materials, she followed the craftsman's advice to build a bigger and, above all, stronger pen than she had planned. She then bought 100 already-vaccinated 21-day-old chicks " sr Anna
With this small-scale breeding project, Angèle is happy to be able to supplement her meagre salary as a worker in a center for the disabled with the sale of her chickens. Her children and grandchildren help her in this new activity.
"I'd like to thank you for your support in launching my modest project. Your intervention was of the utmost importance to me, because it enabled me to make a reality of what up to now had only been a dream. I sincerely tell you that my old age is assured, despite my widow status. Thank you once again for your interest in me." Mme Marie Angèle
