Dear Friends and Benefactors,

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, we are invited to reflect on God’s greatest gift to humanity—the birth of Jesus Christ. This sacred season reveals the mystery of the Incarnation, when divine love took human form to dwell among us. Christmas is a time of hope, peace, and reconciliation, calling us to embrace compassion, generosity, and service. It renews our faith and inspires us to reach out to those most in need.

In this spirit, we express our heartfelt gratitude to our benefactors, partners, and the Company of the Daughters of Charity. We wish you a joyful, grace-filled Christmas and New Year. Your unwavering generosity is a true witness to the meaning of Christmas. Because of your support, we are able to offer not only material assistance, but also assurance that the poor are loved, valued, and never forgotten. Your kindness continues to transform lives and rekindle hope.

We, the Daughters of Charity, remain firmly committed to serving the poorest—those with little or no access to resources, those affected by poverty or displacement, and those struggling to care for themselves. Our mission is to relieve suffering and to restore the God-given dignity of every person by providing opportunities for healing, growth, and renewed hope. Your generosity makes this mission possible.

Education:
In Ethiopia, the Daughters of Charity have a long standing dedication to the education of the less privileged and continue to provide accessible, inclusive, and quality education, especially for marginalized and displaced children. From early childhood programs to kindergarten teachers training, we strive to equip young people with knowledge and values that open doors to a brighter future that prepares them to be responsible and productive citizens of tomorrow.  This year, we provided educational services to 15,393 children.

Health care:
We deliver essential preventive and curative health services to disadvantaged communities with limited access to medical care. By promoting health and well-being, we help individuals regain dignity, independence, and the ability to live productive lives. This year, 192,034 people received health services through our programs.

Social and development services:
We continue to offer vocational and skills training that empowers individuals to secure employment and achieve economic independence. For those in emergencies, we provide basic necessities and essential support. Psychosocial services help rebuild resilience and hope. This year, 141,823 people benefited from our various social and development programs.

On behalf of our community and all those we serve, I express my deepest gratitude for your generous support. Your contributions make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of the most vulnerable. May God bless you abundantly at Christmas and throughout the New Year.
