In a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, a school continues to open its doors every day to 400 hopeful children. Run by Sister Gladice, the Groupe Scolaire Bilingue Médaille Miraculeuse (Miraculous Medal Bilingual School Group) is a place where children from families often weakened by economic hardship are welcomed, supported and encouraged.
For them, this kindergarden and primary school represents a real opportunity: the chance to learn, grow and dream of a different future.
But today, one obstacle continues to slow their progress and worries the headmistress in a world where IT is indispensable. The 400 pupils now have 10 computers thanks to the completion of the ‘There's mice in my classroom’ project in 2024.

‘The school has 394 pupils, and the number is growing! Lessons often remain theoretical, and some children discover computers far too late, when they already need them to progress. Yet practical lessons on “New Information and Communication Technologies” are required by the official curriculum.’ Sr Gladice.

- 8 computers and 8 monitors
- furniture: computer tables and chairs
- software and connection equipment.
‘This room will not just be a room full of machines. It will become a living learning space where students will discover new knowledge, develop their talents and begin to build their future. For some, it may be the first time they use a computer. For others, it will be the beginning of a vocation.’ Sr Gladice

This multimedia room will bring about a lasting improvement in the quality of education, reduce the digital divide and meet official educational requirements. The space will also benefit the 24 teachers and school staff, who will be able to receive training in the use of IT.
The project will be implemented with the help of the school's three sisters, IT specialists for the installation of equipment, and teachers for educational activities.
‘Because sometimes all it takes is a computer, a table and a chair for a child to have a "click" moment and discover a future full of possibilities...’ Sr Gladice
Thank you for your support for quality education for these pupils

I am the director of the Groupe Scolaire Bilingue Médaille Miraculeuse, a school that is now in its sixth year of existence, and for which we would like a suitable multimedia room to improve the students' skills and to follow the official programs.
